Cocopeat is an ideal substitute for peat moss, and has the following uses;
As a soil supplement:
Re-hydrated coir block mixed with soil improves water holding capacity and aeration.
For seed generation: Coir dust in starter containers speeds up germination and profuse rooting of seedlings.
For tissue culture: Wetted coir brick in poly bags encourages initial growth phase of tissue cultured plants and grafted seedlings.
Advantages:
Provides good water retention property to soil.
Increases soil aeration
Enhances soil wetting.
Acts as a solid potting medium and substratum for plants.

Manufacturing:

Our manufacturing facility extends over an area of one acre of land, with separate areas earmarked for storing raw coir pith, a concrete drying yard, briquetting shed and storage area.

Raw coir pith is normally left to be washed naturally through atleast one monsoon season. To ensure that we get the right EC level, we have an adequate supply of soft water which also helps in removing impurities.

The washed coir pith is then spread out on a concrete drying yard to ensure uniform drying. Moisture is always kept at less than 10% in the finished product.

The washed and dried coir pith is then graded in order to remove long fibres and it is further graded into fine pith particles of less than 1mm and coarse particles of 1mm to 2mm. Coarse particles have a higher water retaining and expansion capacity of 65 to 80 litres. Fine coir pith has an expansion / water holding capacity of about 25 to 35litres.

The briquetting section is equipped with a modern self designed, hydraulic blocking making machine (works on volumetric basis) that could produce cocopeat blocks at the rate of 110 blocks of 5kg cocopeat per hour.

When the order volume is higher than production capacity, we subcontract excess order volume to other units.

Packing / Container stuffing:
Loadability: 25tons in 1x40ft hic container.
Total no. of blocks: 5000.
Stuffing: 5 blocks in one bundle, strapped together.
